Assemble : Dissemble

18 Apr - 31 May 2015
Telemark Art Museum, O. H. Holtas gate 27, 3678 Notodden, Norway

Saturday 18th of April saw the opening of the solo show Assemble: Dissemble at the enormous industrial hall in Telemarksgalleriet, the old birthplace of Hydro that is now a museum, and one of Norway's largest showrooms for contemporary art. The show was the culmination of over two years of planning, and will showcase more than 50 works spanning 3 years of studio practice. Quite late in the planning, Kristian Evju decided to invite the incredibly talented local artist Knut Odden to utilise the floor space as a parallel solo show. This turned out be a very successful dialogue between two complex and very different art practices.

The show was opened by director Helene Brekke, the mayors of Kongsberg and Notodden municipalities, and the winner of Spellemannsprisen 2015 Daniel Eriksen shared some delta blues slide guitar. There will be an artist talk open to the public at 7PM on the 21st of May, and the works are on show until the 31st.
